  <biography>Manny was tremendous all around athlete.  He was the Physical Education Director of the downtown JY for twenty years.  He also conducted the JY camp at Coneseus then Camp Seneca, being a hugh inspiration for a generation of campers.

When Manny was about twenty years of age, he had a foot race against Billy Cox the 1932 Olympic Bronze Metal winner.  Billy was the national mile champion and cross country champion from Penn State previous to his Olympic medal.  Manny won!

Manny was a great basketball player.  As a star guard, he led the Rochester Centrals won two national championships.</biography>
