Richard Mink

Richard was a three sport star and the the distinction at Brighton High School of not only being a starter on the soccer, basketball and baseball teams, he also captained the soccer team two years in a row and the basketball team for one.

In soccer, Richard, a defensive specialist, helped power the Barons in his sophomore year to an undefeated record during the regular season and a berth in the Section V tournament. The Barons fought their way to the final round of the sectionals but lost to Webster. Richard’s honors included making the All County Team twice and the All State’s third team once.

In baseball, he played on varsity for two tears, hitting over 300 as the Baron’s star shortstop. On the basketball team, he was a play-making guard.

After High School, Richard enrolled at Bowling Green State University in Ohio, a Division 1 school, where he lettered on the varsity soccer team in both his freshman and sophomore years. He transferred to Boston University in his junior year and devoted full time to his studies. Richard lives in Pittsford with his wife Hyla and they have two grown children.
