Norm Hurwitz
Norm excelled in Billiards, Golf, Bowling and Fast Pitch Softball.
During the 1940’s Norman won numerous pocket billiards tournaments earning the distinguished honor of once playing the great Irving Crane in an exibition match.
For twelve years he played in Rochester’s major league industrial fast pitch league. Norm was a formidable slugger once hitting four triples in one game!
Norm won numerous honors in bowling. In 1965 he took first place in the Jay Lodge of B’nai Brith’s New York State Bowling Tournament.
As a golfer, Norm won nine local tournaments at Midvale, Irondequoit and Ridgemont Country Clubs. Norm was arguable the best Lefty in the area in his prime. In 1998 he carded his first hole-in-one at Midvale on the 13th hole.
