Rochester Jewish Sports Hall of Fame

Mel captained the 1953-1954 Syracuse University basketball team, leading it in scoring and to a monumental upset of then ranked Holy Cross. He once held the Syracuse High School single game scoring mark with 55 points. Mel played with the U.S. Maccabiah Basketball team in 1953.
