Anna Tozin

Anna Tozin (Khavalina) outstanding tennis player and coach.

Anna attended Brighton HS and was a two-time Singles Section V Champion and placed 3rd in singles at NYS High School Championships. Anna also has won an incredible 13 Rochester Open District Titles: 4 singles, 7 doubles and 2 mixed doubles.
Anna continued her stellar playing career at Syracuse University where she was a 4-year starter in singles and doubles and was the team captain as a senior. All 4 years at #1 doubles resulted in regional rankings as did her singles play as a senior. Anna is a coveted member of the SU Century Club with over 100 wins. She also won the SUnity Classic in singles and was a finalist at the Cornell Invitational. Anna was an Academic All-American, 1997-2000.
After graduating, magma cum laude, in 2000, Anna was a Teaching Professional at the Tennis Club of Webster. In 2001-2003 she assumed the position of Head Women’s Tennis Coach at the University of Rochester and led the team to its only conference title.
In 2003-2008 Anna was selected to be the University of Rochester’s Head Men’s and Women’s Tennis Coach and the Director of Tennis. Anna recruited for the U of R teams and also started and directed junior summer tennis camps. She also ran instructional programs for children and adults. She coached numerous All-Americans and ITARegional Championship winners. Anna has won a plethora of coaching awards including the New York State Women’s Athletic Association of Tennis Coach of the year, 2001.
