Hall of Fame Inductees
Since its inception in 1962, the Rochester Jewish Sports hall of Fame has inducted over 150 athletes and honorees. They have included many fine athletes who have competed at the local, state, national and international level. Each is special to us. Each has brought honor and credit to the Rochester Jewish community.
A permanent plague at the Rochester Jewish Community Center keeps their names in perpetutity.
The committe has raised over $100,000 the last ten years at its Annual Dinner. The money goes towards supporting local youth from the Jewish Community Center(JCC) who participate in the Annual JCC Maccabi games competition at various sites in the US, Rochester area athletes competing every four years in the International Maccabi Games in Israel (also known as the "Jewish Olympics") and other charitable endeavors.
